Maple Sugar Biscuits

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 tsps. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 cup shortening
  • 7/8 cup milk (1 cup less 2 tbs.)

Mix quickly with fork until dough forms a ball.  Knead on lightly floured board 7-8 minutes.  Roll out to 1/2" thickness.  Sprinkle with 1 cup Hall Farms Granulated Maple Sugar.  Fold over dough twice and roll to 3/4" thickness.  Cut with 2" cutter.  

 Bake on ungreased baking sheet at 450° F for 12-15 minutes.
